TASKEO · LEGAL INFORMATION

Terms and conditions

1. Provider and service

Taskeo is provided by Michal Hrbek, a sole trader registered in the trade register, registration number 04247353, VAT ID CZ8207210066, with its registered office at Kamenná 115, Zlatníky, 252 41 Zlatníky-Hodkovice. Contact: info@taskeo.cz, +420 737 367 700 (the “Provider”). The Provider owns and manages the servers, which are located in the Czech Republic.

Taskeo is a system for managing customers, projects, tasks, deadlines, work records, attachments, project knowledge and invoicing. The chosen plan determines the range of features, number of users and invoice issuers, and data and attachment capacity. The service can be used by businesses and consumers, meaning people acting outside their business or profession.

2. Orders and payments

The contract is formed when the Provider accepts the order. The customer verifies their email address before a workspace is created; confirmation that a form was received is not itself acceptance of the order. Details can be corrected before submission. The customer receives confirmation and the accepted terms by email in a form that can be saved. Individual plans require individual approval of scope, price and timing.

The price, payment method and monthly or yearly period are stated before the service is agreed; for consumers, always including VAT and mandatory charges. Payment is in advance unless otherwise agreed. Annual discounts follow the offer. Automatic renewal and recurring payment charges require express agreement. Renewal can be cancelled in administration or by email before the paid period ends.

The Provider may reject an impracticable order or one containing false details or signs of abuse. An unpaid payment request does not itself create further debt; without payment, the service may be restricted or terminated after notice.

3. Customer obligations

The customer supplies correct contact and billing details, protects access, sets team roles and permissions, and keeps details up to date. They are responsible for the lawfulness of submitted content and instructions. The service must not be used for spam, malicious code, interference with systems or infringement of others' rights.

For the duration of the contract, the customer has a non-exclusive right to use Taskeo within the plan's scope. Without agreement, they must not resell it or provide it to third parties as their own service. Rights to customer data remain with their holders. The Provider uses data only to fulfil the contract and legal obligations and protects its confidentiality.

The customer is responsible for the accuracy of details on invoices, timesheets and other documents created in Taskeo and checks them before issuing or sending them. Taskeo provides tools to create them and does not replace accounting, tax or legal advice.

4. Operation and connected services

The Provider operates and maintains Taskeo with professional care. Continuous or error-free operation, a percentage availability or a fixed repair time is not guaranteed unless individually agreed otherwise. The service may be temporarily unavailable during maintenance, updates or faults; the Provider gives advance notice of planned restrictions when circumstances allow. Faults are addressed without undue delay according to their nature.

The customer uses optional integrations under their suppliers' terms and with authority to transfer data to them. Third-party service unavailability or changes may affect the relevant Taskeo feature. The Provider remains responsible for its own duties in application operation and data processing.

5. Restriction and termination

For non-payment of an agreed service or a remediable breach, the Provider first asks the customer to remedy it and allows at least 7 days. It may then restrict service or terminate the contract for a material breach. An immediate threat to security or third-party rights may be addressed by an immediate necessary restriction, with reasons given unless prevented by law or security.

The customer may end the service at the end of the prepaid period by email or by disabling renewal. Simply not using the service does not create a right to a refund. Without a customer breach, the Provider may terminate the contract with 60 days' notice; it refunds unused subscription fees within 14 days after termination. Rights to withdrawal, a price reduction and changing provider are unaffected.

6. Data, backups and individual outputs

Server backups are used solely by the Provider to restore the entire service after a technical failure. They are retained for 14 days, are not accessible to customers and cannot be used to restore individual files, records or workspaces at a customer's request.

The service does not include guaranteed self-service export or data delivery in a specific format. The customer is responsible for retaining their own data and documents that must be kept independently of the service. Individual preparation or delivery of available data can be agreed in advance and may be charged according to scope and technical complexity. This does not affect rights and duties that cannot be contractually restricted.

After service termination, the Provider deletes customer data unless further retention is required by law. Copies in server backups disappear through overwriting within 14 days at the latest and are not used for ordinary processing in the meantime.

7. Defects and liability

Report defects and complaints to info@taskeo.cz with a description of the problem. The Provider confirms receipt and handles the complaint within the statutory or agreed period. An outage does not automatically create entitlement to a contractual penalty or service credit; statutory rights concerning defective performance remain unaffected.

For business customers, to the extent permitted by law, the Provider compensates only documented actual property damage caused by a breach of its duties; lost profit is not compensated. For paid service, total compensation for one event or related events is limited to the price excluding VAT of the affected service for the prepaid period in which the damage arose. Unless otherwise agreed, compensation takes the form of a free service extension equal in value to the awarded compensation.

These limitations and the form of compensation do not apply to consumers, a weaker party's right to compensation, intent, gross negligence or harm to a person's natural rights. They do not restrict rights under GDPR or other liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Consumers

This section takes precedence for consumers over conflicting provisions. Consumer status depends on the actual purpose of the contract, not merely on entering a registration number. Before a paid order, the final price including VAT and mandatory charges, commitment period, renewal terms and main service features must be stated.

A consumer may withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason within 14 days of its conclusion by notifying info@taskeo.cz or the Provider's registered office. It is sufficient to send the withdrawal within that period. Starting paid performance before the period expires requires the consumer's express request and statutory information.

The Provider refunds eligible payments within 14 days of receiving withdrawal using the same method, unless the consumer agrees otherwise at no additional cost.

Sample withdrawal notice:
Recipient: Michal Hrbek, Kamenná 115, Zlatníky, 252 41 Zlatníky-Hodkovice, info@taskeo.cz.
I hereby withdraw from the contract for the Taskeo service. Contract date: …; order number or account email: …; consumer's full name: …; address: …; date: …; signature (only when sent on paper): …

The Provider is responsible for the digital service's conformity with the contract throughout the agreed period and provides necessary updates, including security updates. The consumer has the right to free correction of a defect within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. Under statutory conditions, they may request a proportionate price reduction or withdraw from the contract.

The authority for out-of-court consumer dispute resolution is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Štěpánská 796/44, 110 00 Praha 1. An application can be filed no later than one year after first asserting the disputed right with the Provider.

9. Privacy and final provisions

Data processing and the processing agreement for workspace contents are governed by the Privacy policy, particularly section 6. The customer is generally the controller and the Provider the processor of this content.

The Provider may reasonably change the service and terms due to security, technical changes, changes in law or costs. It notifies substantial changes to terms or price by email at least 30 days in advance, including the new wording and information about the right to reject the change and end the contract without penalty before it takes effect. The price of an already prepaid period does not change.

The contract is concluded in Czech and governed by Czech law. The customer pays their ordinary connection costs. An individual agreement takes precedence over these terms; consumers retain protection under mandatory rules of their country of habitual residence. Disputes are resolved by the competent courts.
